Although the main subject of this blog will be baseball analytics, other things like programming and statistics will be covered. This is intended to be a document of learning, I don't claim perfection in my work, but hope that others reading this will be able to uncover a learning process.
I am a 24 year old currently residing in the northwest studying the application of statistics to forestry. Sabermetrics is a way for me to apply what I learn in my graduate studies to a topic other than forestry. Given the recent explosion in spatial data within baseball, I yearn to lend insights of spatial statistics, which is a major part of my profession, to the sport.
